DYNAFIT LECHT 2090 - Saturday 30th December 2017

The Lecht 2090 race is a great introduction to the Skimo Scotland series. If you haven’t entered a Skimo race, this is certainly one to look at. This is a short course with minimal ascent and descent and racers have 90 minutes to complete as many laps as possible in the allocated time.

Lecht 2090 is located in the very heart of the Eastern Cairngorms National Park at the top of the pass between Tomintoul and Strathdon. The infamous Lecht pass, one of the highest main roads in the UK, is notorious for being one of the most regularly snow blocked roads in the country. Lecht 2090 is easily reached from Speyside and Aviemore, Donside and Aberdeen as well as Royal Deeside.

Lecht 2090 was the venue for the very first Skimo Scotland race in December 2012 and despite the worst conditions imaginable, we have successfully managed to race every year ever since.

Entries now closed.

The cool stuff

Dynafit have been heavily supporting the Skimo Scotland race series since the very beginning and this year Dynafit will be our main headline sponsor sponsoring 5 out of the 6 races. We have had a rethink for prizes and will no longer be providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes to the winners. Instead, we have decided to spread the love and every racer who enters the race and turns up will receive a fabulous give away momentum courtesy of Dynafit. In true Skimo Scotland fashion, we will also have a few spot prizes to give away.
